iStream is the name of several large-scale demonstration activities co-funded by the SESAR Joint Undertaking (SESAR JU) that aims at demonstrating the benefits of Target Time for complete traffic flows. So far, the results have been more than promising: After having performed Air Traffic Flow and Capacity Management (ATFCM) scenarios and tactical ATC routings, ATFCM delays were reduced considerably. Other advantages are savings of flight time, reduced holdings and more flexibility in operations due to the exchange of Target Times by each aircraft operator. SWISS plays an active part in iStream, the EU-funded demonstration project. For more please check out www.skyproduction.ch
