Be part of an A380 simulator training session in Toulouse, France. The training is carried out by Supervisor CPT Wolfgang Absmeier, who’s a test pilot and trainer himself. In this video, the pilots Jürgen Raps and Uli Hohl – in a protected environment – simulate the bird strike emergency, which means that a bird has crashed into one of the engines causing its immediate failure. Flight simulators artificially re-create aircraft flight and the environment in which it flies, not only for pilot training, but also for design studies and various other purposes.
