Landing a plane in London City Airport is said to be one of the most difficult challenges in the world, since pilots are forced to fly over the city and perform a steep descent onto a short runway. Moreover, they have to avoid The Shard, the Tower of London and the O2 Arena. All pilots must go through a rigorous training program before they can fly the route, and Captain Karen Atherton, our pilot here, is only one of 27 British Airways pilots qualified to carry out the landing. The footage filmed from the pilot’s perspective in the flight deck will give you a chance to admire the magnificent skyline of the iconic capital. For more please check out www.britishairways.com
