Sitting inside a photo ship with the doors removed, that’s the world of aerial photographer and pilot Jessica Ambats. She’s the editor of the Plane & Pilot magazine and also worked as a Senior Editor at Pilot Gateways magazine. Jessica started her career when a family friend asked her to join her on a flight. Up until then Jessica was a kid that always looked up when a plane passed by and that was also the time when she decided to become a pilot. Today, she combines her passion for flying with her love of photography and produces images that not only show a keen eye, but also a great feel for atmosphere and motifs. Her spectacular aviation photography has been featured internationally on many magazine and book covers, and she was awarded the top designation of “Best of the Best” by Aviation Week & Space Technology.
